Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is fully dedicated to the welfare of our elephant in Thailand. At our elephant sanctuary, we provide each magnificent creature with a safe, healthy, and permanent elephants’ home. Our commitment goes beyond just shelter; we build deep bonds of trust with every elephant, which allows us to offer visitors an ethical elephant experience.
We believe in sustainable tourism and responsible tourism, and our goal is to be a model for ethical elephant sanctuaries in Thailand. We’ve carefully designed our elephant tour in Thailand to be respectful and align with the elephants’ natural daily routines. This provides a genuine elephant experience in Thailand and is a key reason we are considered one of the best elephant sanctuaries in Thailand. We are more than just an elephant park; we are a true elephant rescue and a haven for elephants in nature.

Our work has earned us a positive reputation for elephant care. We are honoured to have received recognition, both locally and internationally, for our ethical welfare practices, and EJS has been independently certified by numerous organisations.
Our dedicated veterinary team provides the best possible care for every elephant. From regular check-ups to emergency care, we ensure our gentle giants stay healthy and happy. Our care includes:
We give elephants a life they deserve – one filled with freedom, health, and joy. Through our work, we inspire change and build a future where these magnificent animals are treated with respect.
We care for both our elephants and their home. Our sanctuary protects local wildlife, plants, and water sources while supporting our community. Through sustainable practices, we create a thriving environment where elephants and nature flourish side by side.
Every visit to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary creates ripples of positive change. Here’s how:
Empowering Local Communities
Our Partnership with TCPF
We’re proud to work with The Care Project Foundation to provide:
Your visit helps sustain these vital partnerships and creates a world where elephants and communities thrive side by side.
Our mission has always been to provide as many elephants as possible with the happiness, health,
and freedom they truly deserve.
Our team strives daily to ensure the health, safety,
and wellbeing of the elephants we care for, and only by developing a deep bond and mutual trust with each elephant are we able to offer visitors a memorable elephant interaction experience which is ethical, sustainable, and above all, respectful.

At Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, we endeavor to provide the elephants in our care with the best available veterinary treatment. We understand that authentic elephant healthcare involves not only the treatment of illness and injuries, but proactive measures to protect against disease, and detect any potential problems as early
as possible.
All of our Mahouts undertake professional development training in basic veterinary care, allowing them to perform their daily elephant Physical Examination (P.E.) routine effectively, treat minor injuries independently, and recognise and accurately report symptoms of common ailments in a timely manner.
With the assistance of our partners The Care Project Foundation, we have set up on-site elephant clinics at several of our Sanctuary locations, and the TCPF Mobile Elephant Clinic ensures that we have a world-class veterinary team available to respond to emergencies rapidly, in any location, and at any time of the day or night.
At Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, we are deeply committed to the principles of sustainability, ensuring that our organisation supports the health and welfare of elephants and the ecosystem they inhabit. Our goal is to not only provide a safe refuge for these majestic creatures, but to promote environmental conservation through sustainable practices.
Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is passionately committed to community engagement and development. Our team is constantly striving to nurture deep bonds with local people in the communities in which our initiative operates. We endeavour to support our local communities in any way we can, and in addition to providing employment for many local people, EJS contributes to infrastructure projects, assists with the operation of education programs, and supports farmers by purchasing locally grown food for our elephants, staff, and visitors.
Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is a proud partner of The Care Project Foundation (TCPF) Thailand. The Care Project Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to promote the conservation and welfare of the Asian elephant, reduce human-elephant conflict, and enhance interspecies coexistence through community engagement and education programs. The partnership between EJS and TCPF is a symbiotic relationship based on similar values and a shared vision of the future of Asian elephant welfare. The Care Project Foundation supports elderly female elephants through their Matriarch Project, and they routinely assist EJS with veterinary treatment, logistical support, and advice pertaining to the specialty care essential to ensuring the health and happiness of the older elephants who reside at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. EJS reciprocates this assistance by providing the land and infrastructure necessary to offer permanent homes to elephants enrolled in the Matriarch Project, and our team lovingly cares for these elephants on a daily basis.
